Epoxy Floors vs Hardwood Floors

Hardwood floors are known for their great appearance. The color and the wood grain add a great look to your home or office. Wood floors are very costly to install. There is a lot of upkeep to a wood floor such as refinishing after these floors have been in place for some time. Wood floors are not moisture resistant and not stain proof. As you know wood floors also show lots of dust and are very soft and are prone to scratches and chips.

With Epoxy, whether applied to concrete or wood floors is very durable and moisture resistant and have many options when it comes to color and designs. They can last for decades and are very easy to clean.

Epoxy floors are durable and are hard to chip or scratch. This option of flooring is leading the industry market for residential and commercial options.

Garage Flooring

If you are looking at putting flooring in your home or garage there are many options when doing so. There are many different kinds of tile that can be applied to your floor whether it be ceramic or stone. These tiles have been around for quite some time and can be very attractive and give your house a designer look and feel.

It is easy to not look at other options  Maybe for the fact that we are not aware of any other options that will suit our needs. Here are a few of the disadvantages to keep in mind when thinking about tiles for your next flooring project. Tile floors are very soft and have the potential to creak break or chip. Tile floors are also very hard to keep clean due to the grout lines that can become stained or shrink over time making them look old or worn out.

Not limited to, Epoxy floors have many colors and designs to choose from. The advantages of epoxy compared to tile are that epoxy floors have longevity, strength and are durable. When installed properly epoxy floor coatings can last several decades without cracking or peeling. Epoxy floors are also stain-resistant to dust dirt and spills of any kind. Epoxy’s life span makes it the go-to for many residential, industrial and commercial floors.
